LOCKD legal

Terms of Use

Effective date: August 10, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the LOCKD iOS application and its paid features. Please read them before using the app or making a purchase.

Important: LOCKD supports fitness and focus habits, but it is not a medical device, medical advice, an emergency service, or a guarantee that access to another app will always be blocked.

1. Publisher and agreement

LOCKD is published by Leandro Tolaini, an independent developer based in France (“LOCKD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact: hello@lockd.app.

By downloading, accessing, or using LOCKD, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your use of the downloaded app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and, unless a different valid license is presented in App Store Connect, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Mandatory consumer rights and Apple's terms take priority where they cannot lawfully be changed by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LOCKD. If you are under the age of majority or cannot enter into this agreement where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and authorize any purchase. You must have a compatible Apple device and an Apple Account in good standing for purchases and restoration.

3. What LOCKD provides

LOCKD lets you create a focus plan, select apps or categories through Apple's Screen Time frameworks, earn access time through push-ups, schedule reminders, view progress, and optionally save workout data to HealthKit. Some features require a LOCKD Pro subscription or lifetime purchase.

Screen Time restrictions depend on Apple's operating system, permissions, device state, and APIs. They may be delayed, unavailable, or bypassed through system features or technical limitations. You remain responsible for how you use your device and for maintaining any access needed for safety, work, education, caregiving, travel, or emergencies.

4. Health and physical safety

5. Permissions and local data

Features may request access to Camera, Motion & Fitness, Screen Time, Health, and Notifications. You choose whether to grant these permissions and can change them in iOS Settings. Refusing or revoking a permission may make the related feature unavailable. LOCKD's handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Subscriptions and purchases

Auto-renewable subscriptions

LOCKD may offer monthly or yearly subscriptions. The product, billing period, localized price, included access, and any introductory offer are displayed in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the transaction. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it through your Apple Account subscription settings before renewal. Apple handles billing, renewal notices, taxes, cancellations, and eligible refunds under its terms and applicable law.

Deleting LOCKD does not cancel a subscription. You can manage or cancel it in Apple subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless Apple or applicable law provides otherwise.

Lifetime purchase

A “Lifetime” purchase is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase and does not renew. It provides access to the LOCKD Pro features included with that product, including future Pro updates we make available for the supported LOCKD iOS app, for as long as LOCKD remains available and technically supported. It does not promise that every future product, platform, or separately sold service will be included. This does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.

Restoration, prices, and refunds

Eligible purchases can be restored using the app's Restore function and the Apple Account used for the original transaction, subject to Apple's rules and technical availability. Prices may vary by country and may change; the price shown by Apple when you confirm a purchase controls. Apple provides any required notice or consent flow for subscription price changes. Refund requests for App Store purchases must normally be submitted to Apple, without affecting statutory rights.

7. Acceptable use

You may use LOCKD only for lawful, personal use and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

8. Intellectual property

LOCKD, including its software, design, text, graphics, branding, and other content, is owned by or licensed to the publisher and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and the applicable Apple license, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on compatible Apple devices you own or control.

9. Third-party services

LOCKD relies on Apple services and RevenueCat purchase infrastructure. Their availability and separate terms or privacy practices may affect parts of the app. LOCKD is not responsible for a third party's independent service, but this does not remove responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Updates, availability, and changes

The app may be updated to add, change, secure, or remove features, or to remain compatible with Apple platforms and legal requirements. Internet, operating-system, or third-party changes may interrupt functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

If LOCKD discontinues a paid service, we will respect access already paid for and any refund, notice, or other rights required by applicable law and Apple's rules.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOCKD is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that rep detection, estimates, reminders, Screen Time restrictions, purchase restoration, or other features will always be accurate, available, secure, or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory guarantees, warranties, or remedies that cannot be excluded under consumer law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOCKD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or losses caused by relying on app restrictions, fitness estimates, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using LOCKD at any time. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the app, comply with law, address fraud or security, or respond to a material breach of these Terms. Termination does not remove rights or obligations that arose before termination, including mandatory consumer and refund rights.

14. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated for new features, providers, security needs, or legal requirements. The effective date will be revised. When required, material changes will be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method before they take effect. Changes will not retroactively reduce paid rights where prohibited by law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes. Before bringing a formal claim, please contact hello@lockd.app so we can try to resolve the issue.

16. General

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement except where law permits; we may transfer it as part of a legitimate business transfer, subject to your rights. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the applicable Apple terms form the agreement concerning your use of LOCKD.
